I have owned one for about a year. Every time there is a power outage or someone unplugs it to clean. It has to be reset and the process has start again. It is not worth it.
Thanks for being easy to follow and easily digestible tutorials it is very much appreciated
That was an awesome explanation ! Thank You so much ! You were super easy to understand and now I know what I did wrong when I first started using it. Thanks to you I will get a full pot of coffee in when I put a full pot of water in not just a half a pot ! Lol ! 👍🏻
I've been going to Dunkin Donuts 5 days a week for the last 3 years. I've calculated I've spent about $3k on coffee during that time. I go there because I can't replicate the taste at home. I've tried two different drip coffee makers, and a french press. It's not just using freshly roasted beans and filtered water. It's about the coffee maker too. Dunks uses BUNN coffee makers.
My question is, should I get the velocity brew, or the smaller commercial VP-17? The VP-17 intrigues me because it has much less plastic touching the water, and the funnel can be replaced with a stainless steel one. There are reviews of the velocity/speed brew and heat n' brew having a strong plastic smell and taste. Plastic and very hot water don't mix over time. Would you flip your steaks with a plastic spatula on a grill out back? No.
What intrigues me about the speed/brew is the reduced electricity usage, and smaller footprint. My wife and I will only brew 6 cups in a morning. The VP-17 is large and it draws more electricity. The speed brew will pay for itself in 2.5 months of daily use, the VP-17 in 4.5 months.
Has anybody ever owned both? What do you think? The goal is to replicate the taste of Dunkins/Starbucks and home.
It's the best coffee maker I've ever owned. It's been working for 9 years brewing a 3 minute pot of coffee. The pot warmer is dying, and this model is no longer available. I'm going to find a replacement part and get it working again. There is no replacement for this model. They're all plastic now.
What is the high of this brewer
Which is the on button on the side, the o or the – label
Should the button on the side be on the – negative label or the o label
Can you leave it on so it will be hot for a week
Since the reservoir tank is now full……do you add more water (like an 8 cup pot) when making a pot of coffee?
wow what a disaster it just spit hot steaming water all over the place and i couldnt stop it!!! unplugged it shut it off…
When do i need to turn on the switch?
DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! I CANT GET MY MONEY BACK FROM BUNN
THEY SOLD ME A BAD COFFEE MAKER AND HAVE PUT ME HOLD FOR AN HOUR AND TRANSFER AFTER TRANSFER TO PERSON AFTER PERSON
BUNN IS EXTREMELY RUDE ON THE PHONE THE 5 or 6 people i have talked to this morning are as rude as rude can be!!!!

This better be some damn good coffee
I must be losing water somewhere. No matter how high I fill the carafe, it brews less than the 10 line. I'm already regretting it not being a 12 cup. Suggestions?
If I only want 20 oz of water in the tank, do I have to dump all of the water I just put in our, and refill it with only 20 oz? If so, when would I turn the power off/on when refilling with the 20 oz?
my coffee maker just runs water through the basket/grounds so fast that it does not brew the coffee… seems like there is a piece missing? like a spray head?? anyone else have this problem?
Mine is brand new and it takes almost 20 minutes to make a pot of coffee… taking it back and getting another one because I love a bunn coffee maker,,,, I just got a bad one 🙂
Of all of the tutorials on Bunn set up, this young lady has presented the most easily understandable presentation. Bravo
Okay, so after the 15 minutes, what happens? Where does the water go that's in the tank?
